“Lunch”
Here’s a two-pager for an upcoming zine from John Malta
been leaning hard on 6 panel grids on a few projects, lately
“The Seed Stirs”
Here are pages 13-15 of a graphic novel that I started last year, gave up on, restarted, gave up on, restarted and gave up on then decided to forget about for a while until I had a clearer idea of how to rewrite it. Here’s the only sequence that turned out okay from the thing. I’m not sure why I decided to letter this so huge – it looks super ugly.
I threw out the original art, deleted all the files so I wouldn’t be tempted to ever puss out and use them for anything. Only low res JPEGs left!
Smoke Signal/Kuti Kuti split
New Smoke Signal/Kuti Kuti split issue for sale!

I have a color page in here, and the line-up for the whole issue is pretty great (David Mazzucchelli!) Smoke Signal and Kuti Kuti are two of the best zines going right now, so I’m excited to see them team up.
Also, this came out today:

“Rescue Pet” – Part One
The first installment of a four part series called “Recue Pet” is being printed in this month’s Maisonneuve. Each installment will be two pages long.

The issue hits stands tomorrow!
unused CD cover art
This was going to to be a CD cover. After approving the initial sketch, the band was a bit iffy about the final drawing – we went through a few variations of the illustration before they ultimately decided not to use it as the cover. Ironically, the new cover is going to be an rejected poster illustration I did from another gig a few months ago! It’s sort of like musical chairs.
Anyway, these were my favorite two of the variations I sent them. Maybe one day they will find a home (I am open to suggestions, as always!)
